Collaborative, Creative Placemaking: Good Public Art Depends on Good Public Spaces Reading

Public art may appear that it is solely created by an artist, but architect and designers can create public art pieces as well. We all approach projects with the same process.

Location of art helps to determine if it will be successful or not. Placing something in an area of low visibility, it may not be seen and not appreciated to it's full potential. Also, if it is placed in an area that people do not seeing as worth going to, it may not be seen at all. This can be found when art is put in rundown or "bad" areas where people would not feel safe viewing it.
